Hi Fred, although I’ve not used the Genesis framework I believe it should be possible to do this. I found this tutorial http://teethgrinder.net/articles/2011/01/genesis-3-areas-header/ from which I infer that genesis supports a header sidebar. If that’s so, then you just create a text widget and put the nivo shortcode into the widget. The theme I’m currently using for oik-plugins doesn’t support header widgets so I’ll have to try it elsewhere. I’ll get back to you.
