Comparison of oik-bwtrace with other debug plugins<\/h3>\r\n\r\nMost of the debugging plugins on WordPress.org display debug information for the current page that you’re viewing. \r\n\r\noik-bwtrace records all the server activity in its raw form, in a separately viewable log file. \r\nIt provides the capability to trace the processing flow. \r\n\r\nYou can use it to see what’s happening in AJAX requests and other background requests. \r\n\r\nThink of the bw_trace2<\/a>() as a super advanced var_dump<\/a>() with contextual information.\r\n\r\nIf you need to find out where something’s being called then you can use bw_backtrace<\/a>() to \r\nobtain debug_backtrace<\/a>() output in the trace file. \r\n\r\nUsing the most advanced feature, Ad hoc tracing<\/strong> ( added in v2.0.6 ), you can specify a number of hooks and get oik-bwtrace<\/code> to produce trace output for those hooks.\r\n\r\nAll without having to change any code. \r\n\r\n\r\n
